The history of Le Pietre Vive It began in 2005, when Nicola and Alessandra Guerrini chose to purchase a property immersed in the Tuscan countryside, a few kilometers from Siena, between Chianti and the Crete Senesi.
Their desire was simple and profound: to create a family home where they could raise their children Gioele, Gioia, and Mattia alongside their grandmother Luciana, known to all as "Ciana." An authentic place, immersed in nature, where they could build memories, roots, and a future.
What initially appeared to be an abandoned and decaying building has been rebuilt with care and respect, keeping the original structure intact.
Nicola and Alessandra have transformed the old ruin into a new, warm and welcoming home, without betraying its soul.
Family and change have become the two pillars on which the entire business is based: preserving traditions and, at the same time, creating something new, capable of welcoming and sharing.
From that house, an experience was born that has expanded in various directions over the years. The restaurant on the ground floor and in the large front lawn, cooking classes in the family kitchen, truffle hunts in the estate's woods with expert truffle hunters and their dogs: each activity has grown while remaining true to the original spirit.
Year after year, Le Pietre Vive It has become a place where people don't feel like customers, but welcome guests. A space where everyone can feel welcomed, listened to, and part of a true community.
The phrase that has always accompanied the work of the Guerrini family is an invitation that encapsulates their way of experiencing hospitality: “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some have unknowingly hosted angels” (Hebrews 13:2).
